One of the hardest things about aging is losing so many people who entertained us, taught us, bonded us together, and inspired us. It's wrenching to lose all your heroes. Sometimes I quarrel with Tennyson on this, but tonight I cling to it. RIP Rob and Michele.

Shocked by the awful death of Rob Reiner. I spoke with him for over an hour last night. We talked about his work and his plans for the future. I always enjoyed his company. We met at his Dad's in 1975. Last thing he said to me was "See you next year.." Such a terrible end. Such a sweet man.

Tonight I'm going to be one of "those people" who ask why this person was not living in prison after more than 100 arrests and a slew of warrants, and other legal matters, then kills a man. (But we get to blow fishing boats out of the water 'cuz it's Tuesday/Epstein.)
