Sometimes protecting your #MentalHealth means tuning out others' good news, and sometimes it means tuning out their bad news too. If someone's misery gets you down worse, you don't have to ride the sad spiral with them. It can be kinder to both of you to step off

Perfect use of those skills. Just submitted to a "fun fact about me" at work thing that I wrote a 45k novella earlier this year. Didn't say that it was a 45k, slow-burn, high-heat, M/M adventure romance fic
