Strangely, I was never particularly an 'animal' person before we moved here; I was too busy working to have space or time in my life. But you inhabit a different world when you view things from an animal's perspective. It's a fundamental change and I feel very lucky to have experienced it.

Mini was wary, and we fed her on her own on top of this water tank under the olive tree. She knew when I called 'Min-Min!' that her food was ready, and would come running over.

A local cat napping in a flowerbed outside the General Hospital. It's not unusual to find cats roaming through the corridors of certain departments where they come and go as they please, and brighten up a lot of peoples' days.

They would be essentially feral inasmuch as they were born and lived their lives outdoors, but socialised to a particular human who they visit for food. I suppose how friendly they become depends on the individual cat 🐾❤️

A local cat who was fed by a colony feeder down the road. His cats came from the plant nursery and fields opposite his house, and always looked well cared for 🐾❤️
