i keep thinking that the rise of LLMs is societal punishment for the crime of all our software systems being complicated and awful, and written content absent or unreadable by normal people.
Woman in line in front of me at the post office is not happy about the cost of shipping. She just whipped out her phone, asked ChatGPT how much it thinks the shipping should cost, and is trying to get the mailman to honor that price.

this is a whole other rant that's been brewing but it's more and more obvious to me that companies are not interested in making good software. they want to make complicated software they can charge you more for. they don't care if it's good. they care if they can charge you more
just let me buy groceries in peace. why do all companies seem to hate their users so much? why do they have to keep making software so bad?

also fyi there's no way to disable it but i can "click the x to make the pop up go away until i click the icon again". I NEVER CLICKED THE ICON IN THE FIRST PLACE. it also pops up again for every. single. page. of the search results. page 2 here's rufus bullshit. page 3, guess what? rufus bullshit

i've already cancelled my prime so just continuing to deal with amazon until it's done and i moved on to using other companies

i think it's important that if you're angry when talking to customer service, that the rep knows your anger is not directed at them personally. for example, it's not the rep's fault amazon is shoving this stupid rufus ai bullshit down my throat but they're gonna hear about it
