Tuesday Dec 16th is the last day An Post say they can guarantee pre Christmas delivery for orders shipped by that date. This is earlier than other years , partly due to the collapse of Fastway and increased parcel volumes this year.
Obviously, we'll continue to ship every day up until 23rd.

SF TD Eoin Ó Broin has produced this excellent illustrated history of Herbert Simms and Dublin housing from the 20th century. Part social history, 100% Dublin history, & partly a story of how housing has functioned (or not functioned).
( I also love hoe the book looks like a little block of flats)

Would like for the Wikipedia pages of any historically significant (or contemporary) progressive men to include a mandatory "Attitude Towards And Treatment Of Women" section because it would save a lot of time and disappointment

Saw The Ballad of Wallis Island w/ @sallyfisherprice.bsky.social -- a sweet, visually stunning movie, with excellent acting by all involved. A smart script that doesn't telegraph or try to wrap everything up too neatly. Very funny too. A feel-good movie to pair with The Baltimorons for holidays.

The Lissava Dolmen • Tipperary

You can find this portal tomb hidden away in Scaragh Wood, close to the town of Cahir in South Tipperary.

Based on excavated examples, it likely dates to the earlier to middle part of the Neolithic period, making it around 5,500 years old.
