I was skeptical the new "custom AI movies" thing was going to work, but I tried it last night and there, on screen, was Spiderman banging my wife. Later we watched a Tom Cruise film and he too banged my wife. And when we put on an old Marx Brothers movie, all of them were going to town, on my wife

Trying to book a covid shot in Alberta, but they're telling me I have to "answer me these questions three" and that "only the penitent man shall pass" and then if I'm successful (alive), I have to pay them in 100 voyageur dollars and testify that band class is "woke indoctrination for the Godless."

The written word is one of very few forms of human immortality—it can carry ideas and jokes and expressions of personhood through thousands of years. But immortality is often accidental or arbitrary, and paper and hard drives turn to dust eventually. So write for the now. It's all we have for sure.

Aiming for productivity and professionalism, I try not to shout "it's FUCKING FUCKED" as my contribution to the conversation. They have to pick that up from my body language (writhing in agony).

At the end of our work meetings, we always have a discussion topic called "Current and World Events," and when we get there, we're all silent for a few moments, overwhelmed by all the evil. Then there is a communal groan.
