Deep Lake Michigan on a clear day
On top of Pyramid Point looking across the Manitou Passage at North Manitou Island in the distance. A lighthouse is built on a platform over a shoal. The sand on top of the 200-ish foot bluff gives way to the water below, which goes from aquamarine to a pure blue as the depth increases.

The tiebreaker procedure seems fine for picking the top team, but flawed when selecting the opponent. It’s going to tend toward rematches, since a great way to boost opponents’ win percentage is to lose to them.

I think I’m with you, mostly. For marginal seats, someone who presents as a moderate has a better chance, and it’s hard to find someone who can make that sound exciting and fresh. My disappointment is that the party seems to go out of its way to kneecap bolder candidates in safe seats.

There is a massive difference between the generic Jolly Roger skull and crossbones and what is specifically an SS totenkopf, and I expect a Marine to know that. I’m a midwestern liberal, but if you have a passing interest in WW2 history, you’re gonna know what that is.

My FIL had a surgery postponed because he failed his pre-op kidney screen, but the reason he failed it was cardiovascular. He had to get on some hypertension meds before he could pass.

The average American millennial man has been a neocon, a pacifist, a liberal, a libertarian, a communist, a nazi, and I believe now most of us are back around to liberal again. This isn't a defense of platner it's just weird how normal this shit is for guys that age.
