i am not much of a youtuber but i do upload my music there and we occasionally resurrect our dead gaming channel for funsies, so a lot of Guru advice is useless for me anyway regardless of its actual usefulness, but it is still nice to have a man tell me to forget about the algorithm for 30 minutes

i don't normally give Youtube Advice the time of day but I think this one is good, just because he takes the time to go over how much guru advice is bullshit and how creators should prioritize making good work

The way I had it explained to me:

Calling someone a sp**k: not great to do

Saying something is spooky: a completely different context. But context has no meaning online anymore because subtlety is dead.

Like it's well intentioned but like this poster said, resurrecting dead, problematic meanings for words to win online brownie points only brings these words back and gives them power again.
