PR, marketing, narrative in games. For hire. Former game journalist (possibly relapsing). I do stuff for BitSummit and IGF. Geek and expensive-whiskey-wanter. My opinions are my own.

First pottery class done! Never done this before but I really enjoyed it and my instructor was impressed by my first attempts. I picked it up pretty quickly and made what I wanted (a yunomi 湯のみ) after my third attempt. It was then cut in half to better understand the process 😅

They made the Indiana Jones game, one of 2025's biggest titles, while working from home.
Efficiency and collaboration isn't the issue here.
MachineGames is asking more staff to move to full-time office work. "We know that we are a lot more efficient and a lot more collaborative in general when we're actually in the office together." https://bit.ly/4rCdfaw

This is for the Fortnite crowd isn't it?

This seems less appealing than the NC Soft game coming out for mobile.
The hunt is on.

Welp, there's another movie I have to rewatch.

Pair this with Blown Away and you've got yourself a good movie night!

Pottery is friggin’ fun. If you’re not doing it, you really should at least take one class to experience it.

You get to be a grown up AND play with dirt at the same time. And then at the end of it, maybe you’ve got something practical you can use, made with your own hands.
Spent a little time by myself in the #pottery studio again. It’s a really nice feeling having the run of the place when I want to now. Much of my plans for 2026 revolved around me having my own space. Now I don’t have to worry about that for the time being.

Right now I can just focus on making.

Once again, as a reminder that I live in Japan, my neighbor is practicing the shamisen, causing me to feel like I should be scarpering indoors because a cadre of shady looking ronin just rode into town.

Always make corporations sweat. When c-suite make shitty decisions that affect livelihoods, make them know how wrong it is by hitting them where it hurts. Their stock price.
Holy shit, it really did work!

I mean, it stil isn't great that Adobe HUGELY underestimated their customer base on this but none the less...

Men, who blame everyone (including and primarily women for their problems) should absolutely be weeded out of the gene pool.
📢 “A huge amount of men between the age of 15 and 50 will not pass on their genes. They will effectively die out of the gene pool ... Should society intervene?” Steven Bartlett asked last year.
Two top podcasters have identified a global decline. The problem, they say, is women

Started a more weekly open workshop at my #pottery place, giving me free rein to work on practically anything.

While I was only trimming my sake bottles today, I was snuggled away in my own corner for 3 1/2 hours to do my thing. Loved it!

This is an absolutely perfect game. To just call it a “visual novel” undersells the amount and quality of writing in this game, not to mention the complexity.
I’m personally not one for these kinds of games, but I adore this and it has left an impactful mark on me.
1,000,000 sales well deserved.
Thrilled to announce that Slay the Princess has officially surpassed one million units sold!

When we started work on it, we couldn't imagine a visual novel would be able to hit such a milestone let alone being backed by critical acclaim. And yet, here we are. We couldn't have done this without you.

I guarantee you Shroom and Gloom is going to be something special when it releases.
This game just oozes character (and spores) from all of the meticulous and brilliant work put into it.
Get this game on your wishlists!
How great does this sound?

Our composer has been making a new batch of songs for our game. They're already sounding so good!
