My thoughts too watching news reports last night. I don't think the IDF has any real intent to stop the war. It was known it would be difficult to find the bodies of the dead Isreali hostages and will be used as an excuse to murder more Palestinians.

More than 600 Palestinian bodies are currently held by Israel - a reality western media rarely [never] acknowledge.”

Advance’s core campaigns against renewable energy and Aboriginal rights constitute the vested interests of many of their major contributors, particularly in the mining and energy sectors. other campaigns are to garner popular support. #auspol #Advance

Linda Reynold's is unlikely to ever be at peace with herself - no matter how much money she has.

I believe she wouldn't have been successful had she filed the law suits in our other states and territories. The laws have been changed to prevent this kind of vexatious behaviour.

I wonder who is she will sue next because the majority of Australian's think she is a vexatious, vindictive, cruel woman.

Vote now, if you haven't already, for the Guardian's Bird of the Year 2025

It helps to nominate a bird that's endangered, giving it a much higher profile - like Baudin's black cockatoo for example

Please vote - this is a wonderful environmental exercise

A puff piece for the young liberals - I think it went for almost 15 minutes.
I expect a young labor piece tomorrow in the interest of the ABC being bipartisan.
😭 I want my abc back.

What on earth is this 7:30 report puff piece for the young liberals?

The 400 richest Americans are now worth a record $6.6 trillion.

The entire bottom 50% of America is worth just $4.2 trillion.

Read that back.

When 400 people control more wealth than half a country’s population, we have a very serious problem.

University execs come up with the dumbest excuses. And they get away with it.

University staff outraged as high-paid consultants work on redundancies

It really does say something when an article about reactions to a coal power plant continuing to operate says nothing about climate change, the existential threat it poses and the need to phase out oil, gas and coal.

Our economic system requires people to be unemployed. Why do we punish and demonise them?
“Single JobSeeker [payment] just hit $400 a week. Let me know how you’d go if you were getting that little and were randomly not paid.”

Shame and harm at every JobSeeker turn – and now added AI slop
The system is so convoluted and stacked against people that even if it worked as intended, it would still be not just harmful, but useless.

Our nation's federal employees are more than just numbers on a spreadsheet.

They make sure we have clean water.

They protect us from financial fraud.

They provide healthcare to our communities.

They make our government actually work for people.

Do not forget this.
