A printed set of World Book encyclopedias is $1200 and only captures info up to the window in time in which it was printed.

A few bucks a month can make sure a vital resource that's constantly updated and rigorously scoured for inaccuracies by benevolent pedants remains available to everyone.

It's pretty wild to me that investigators have uncovered that anti-trans campaigns are largely funded by the fossil fuel industry, and that the presumed motivations are pretty directly to redirect the public conversation away from climate change... and that this isn't bigger news.

Tips for cults: if you want to add a rapture/end of the world/etc. scenario in your scriptures, don’t put a date on that. Otherwise you’re just putting an expiration date on your people’s beliefs
