Full album is out now!

the reason i didn't release this earlier is bc these are pulled from a slightly earlier version of the album, so it's different from the final in a few places, and a couple parts are missing. wanted to have something for the anniversary, though, so this will have to do. it's almost all there tho!
Happy 1 year anniversary to Phase 9: Juxtapositional Music!

to celebrate, I am releasing my DJ tool folder for it, featuring extracts of most of the songs: drive.google.com/drive/folder...

im changing my mind on what to call hardvapor 2.0, I think i want to call it VHS Sound now because the biggest stylistic origin is probably VHS Head
I emulated the switch port, but I think every version of that game is broken in unique ways. More than once I fell out of bounds and had to go back to the last save, however long ago that was. Learned real quick to save like all the time
the biggest issue with w11 i can see is requirements shifting and obsolescing a bunch of old work PCs for no reason (w11 does in fact have 0 new features). but if youre the kind of person who is considering linux or plays any video games ever i imagine your pc is probably new enough to be supported
most of the noise seems to be coming from
- people on windows 10 scared of how its being advertised (you can just turn off all the AI features) plus maybe remembering being burned by windows 8
- people on linux trying to sell linux (unmentioned: still does not support FL studio or vegas)
i upgraded to windows 11 a couple days ago and after spending like an hour changing some defaults and reverting the right click menu i barely notice anymore. start menu's a bit worse, file explorer's maybe a bit faster.

certainly not the apocalypse most are making it out to be

some friends and i managed a fair bit of it years ago simply on the back of us finding Bryce Papenbrook Anime Voice funny. but it is in fact largely extremely unremarkable baby tv. i imagine many watch it by having it on in the background on a second screen while doing something else
I’m glad that the era of miserable uninspired textless walk right games that devs made presumably just to spite a recently deceased Roger Ebert is over
hello neighbor 2 and banban 3 are probably the right answers here but I finished little nightmares with more hate in my heart
What's the worst game you finished/rolled credits on?

(games media folks, it can't be something you were assigned to review; this has to be something you subjected yourself to of your own free will)

Balatro wiki says that the “Mega” text on some booster packs is a reference to the Metallica logo but I know better
tbh i think its been in the pipeline for a while, any social media feed that is set up to learn and prioritize engagement will eventually pivot to anger and fear cause thats what people engage with the most.

yt & facebook did it first but all of them do it now. infinite scroll made it worse though

Link below thank uuuu!! 🔥🔥:
it's a genuine synthesis of both of the genres though, positives and negatives.

on the mystlike side there's a lot of obtusity and backtracking, but it's great when things fit into place

and on the roguelike side, rng will just own you sometimes, but there's a lot of good risk mitigation options
the last time i played one of these information games was Lorelei a few months ago and i did all the notes for that on paper

this time i've just been dumping everything into google keep notes and putting tags on them like "lore" and "items" and "rooms". it's very nice to have it ctrl+f-able
i'm about 15-20 hours into blue prince (not sure exactly cause of idling) and i'm enjoying it more than i thought I would

although to be fair i was very skeptical of the general idea of a roguelike mystlike, so i'm largely suprised it works as well as it does
