The key concept here is authoritarianism. Whether it’s capitalism, socialism, or communism, or some mix, any economic system can be on some spectrum between democratic and authoritarian.

I always found this particular doctrine in conflict with DC 137. Joseph wasn't nearly so dogmatic about it as those who followed him.

My spouse wants it early too. I told her that I was willing to forego my “Black Friday” rule and put it up next week. Funny how becoming an atheist made it easier for me to enjoy the season. I still don’t want to listen to Christmas music until December though.

I used to always wait until the day after Thanksgiving. Last year, my wife asked to do it a week early. This year, she wants to decorate next week, because we're going to be out of town for a couple of weeks. She really loves the Christmas season, so I guess I'll be pulling everything out.🤷‍♂️

I bought the Duster for $400. It had a bent frame, so I found a Dodge Demon with a bad drive train for $200. Swapped out the motor and transmission from the Duster. Good times.

I had a 1971 Plymouth Duster that replaced a 1970 Chevy Chevelle with a bad wiring harness. I ended up putting an aftermarket air filter on the Duster to make it easier to change. 😂

Yeah, it’s the season when I get up and go to work in the dark. I come home in the dark. There are no windows in my cube farm. I have to make a conscious effort to see the sun.

I love this. It took me long time to get past the anxiety of toxic perfectionism, to accept my limitations as the first step towards expanding them, or even accepting them for what they are.
