This is Oakley. He has an injury that requires physical therapy and at-home massages. Luckily, his cat sibling River has been training his whole life for this. 14/10 for both

Even if you have AMAZING employer insurance and will never leave your job and they keep costs down or fully fund it...no employer health insurance can save you from hospital/clinic/supplier/etc closures caused by falling off a cliff on Medicaid, Medicaid, and private insurance reimbursement.
Also if you get insurance through your employer and are sighing a deep breath of relief (while obviously still giving a shit about this issue)

understand your insurance through your employer can go up as well, and coverage offered lessened.

And if you lose your job and can't quickly find another

Extremely excited I get to see this diva tonight. Wondering what she’ll be hiding under her wig this time.

Listening to a podcast on which the political analysts are talking about how it doesn’t make political sense on the Trump admin’s part to fight against feeding poor people, a position that’s not popular with voters. But if you believe elections are essentially over, you don’t care what’s popular.

I feel like we have the opportunity to turn David Lynch's quote into this moment's "Keep Calm and Carry On" and it's a far better rallying cry too.

Reminder that St John Center in Louisville has an outreach service where you can let them know about possibly unhoused people and they will go check on them and offer support. I contacted them this morning about someone I saw lying on a sidewalk and they let me know they were headed out to check.

Love this. I was in NYC from 2000-2009 and it rings true. (Just like that Nokia phone, which I also had.)

Someone, please do this.
if someone is willing to pay for the products, i'd be willing to purchase these items, deconstruct them, and give them to expert tailors, shoemakers, and craftspeople for review. i will also see if i can track down the factories. i would be interested to know if these items are made in the US

Very grateful for local media, especially in an emergency.
I know, I know, media is DYING right? But LOCAL media is still out here doing the work, showing up, donning masks to breathe in fewer petroleum fumes and delivering the information our communities need. Allow me to demonstrate.
