Apparently, Bluesky has effectively implemented a shadowbanned label titled "needs-review" and anyone with this label is getting hidden from me. If you want to be seen and you have this label, like this post and follow me and I'll follow you back to make sure we see each other's posts.

The worst thing about being a web developer is having to follow a bunch of rules blindly because you, the expert, aren't the one they listen to when determining if something is secure or accessible. They order you to follow a ruleset very rigidly and then you're like "But we don't need that rule."

I love my job, but it hasn't raised with inflation enough, and the same can be said about my wife's whole career. She's severely underpaid as a teacher. I'm fortunate to be able to jump to another job every few years if I need to, but she's mostly stuck.

I wanted to take part in the LTT Store sales event and get entered into the sweepstakes stuff, but 90% of their products are out of stock, and the stuff that isn't out of stock is stuff I don't want. I'd be basically buying a single t-shirt and 4 random hoodies.

If you need a cheap laptop that doesn't completely suck, search eBay for "i7-1165g7" and you'll find a lot of Surface devices but also some Dells and things all with a processor that isn't absurdly slow that has strong enough on-chip graphics to handle Torchlight smoothly for less than $200.

This just showed up on Amazon Vine and I was like "Woah!" and it's only $30. If this came out before I got into 3D printers, I would have been all over it. A decade too late for me.

I've seen this go by a few times on TikTok now and I have to say, I love this idea. We need a way to convince people to keep running even if they don't win, maybe building the loss into it as a troll move is the secret.

I ended up letting my whole weekend go toward my wife and her friends and didn't get any time to game because I was constantly doing stuff for others or waiting in limbo. I waited all day on Sunday for example to watch a film and someone joined us drunk and we didn't even watch half the film. 🤦

What's the point of a "hardest game on every console" video? I mean, what makes something hard to me is not the same as what makes it hard to someone else. I would say if the game is too easy, I'll actually have a harder time sticking with it than a game that's difficult to beat.

Imagine being unable to see the thumbnail for a video you're about to post a link to but thinking "there's no way the thumbnail could be anything but what the title of the video says" and then posting it anyway then getting mad and acting like a child when someone comments based on the thumbnail.
