The final WTF Happened of 2025 is live!
wtfhappened.net/articles/202...

And it's the first article on the new website!
I made the sites share articles and images and I can control which sites get what articles. I'll fix up the new site's layout and menu later this month as I continue working on it.

I had looked at Fluxpose before and it looks promising, but I haven't tried it: www.fluxpose.com
FluxPose | VR tracking system
FluxPose is an occlusion-free absolute position 6DOF tracking system for FBT, robotics, DIY and more. FluxPose offers occlusion-free, low-latency, and precision tracking at a fraction of current costs...

If I was getting into FBT today, I'd instead invest in some cheaper and more open sourced trackers like slime trackers or move to the Pico 4 ecosystem with its Pico Motion Trackers: www.picoxr.com/global/produ...

I'm kind of out of the FBT game, so do your own research.

Vive Trackers are a headache to troubleshoot and you end up just not using them due to SteamVR/games refusing to use them as controllers properly or due to the trackers themselves confusing themselves for each other and then two trackers acting like the same tracker or due to USB hub problems.

Some SNES recommendations:
The 7th Saga, "Aaahh!!! Real Monsters", Super Mario RPG.

One Genesis recommendation in case you missed it because it's one of my all-time faves:
Sword of Vermilion.

Minor differences in audio and visual quality/style. Genesis version has a map while the snes version did not have the map, making it harder to find your way around in the SNES version. The SNES version was my preferred way to play because its UI was prettier with no ugly letterbox-like HUD.

I highly recommend Deck.Blue. It has better markdown support than the official Bluesky client. Unfortunately, it doesn't give any account level feeds unless you click a profile link, but once you add the user to a column, you can add custom rules including no reposts.
January 16, 2026 at 3:15 PM
I think you can set it to have only original posts and replies and exclude the quotes and reposts on some clients. Try a few third party clients with an app password.

If you have to turn off reposts at an account level, maybe unfollow the account in question? 🤔

I'm blocked by the quoted account, so I can only comment on what you posted, but Nier was cooler than I expected it to be. It was one of those games I only went into because it was cheap.

I didn't know it was the trashman's job to trash my trash bin. Noted.

New Bsky "go live" feature is kind of interesting. I'll try it soon, but for now, here's screenshots to prove I'm aware of it or something.

Note that a lot of the 'enterprise' stuff falls under the banner of wearable data for advertising. There's a ton of overlap there and it gets worse the more data the hardware collects.

Valve, BSB, Sony, Pimax, Shiftall, HTC want you to buy a VR headset so you buy and play games, do enterprise, deliver training...

Meta subsidise VR headsets so they can figure out how to make money selling your wearable data for advertising.

Only one of the above was ever sustainable for gamers.

Genre idea for jokes api: therapy.
Example: A guy walks into the therapist's office wearing only saran wrap and the therapist says "I can already see your nuts."
a man wearing a cowboy hat and plaid jacket is talking on a phone
Alt: a man wearing a cowboy hat and plaid jacket is talking on a phone and saying "wrapped in plastic" according to caption
