This is my #indierpg inspired by PS2 classics and some modern stuff too. It has a focus on characters with unique functions. I am making it in the #godotengine. Hope you think it's neat!

Limb asset destruction and replacement working. Lucky uses her threads to adapt equipment for Clover's body. So I used her FX theme'ing for the animation.

Fun touches: The limbs go ragdoll when broken. Clothing remains ruined even after replacing a limb.

so lightning returns has this perfect guard mechanic that does a ton of "stagger damage" to most of its enemy types, but I'm not really a fan of purely timing-based challenges in these sorts of games

but a perfect guard opening up a situationally useful counterhit action...that might be something

added status ailment functionality, damaging status ailments are just treated like regular attacks, so

1. element absorption = poison heal
2. Breaking enemies turns weakens all resists
3. Breaking an enemy that absorbs poison will make them start taking poison damage

Finished with the first Boss’ mechanics; still a lot of polish and tweaking to go until it’s in a “good enough” state but happy I smashed it out fairly quickly.

I’ve basically got an outline of all the major combat stuff figured out for the demo section; over world still needs more planning though.

Limiting it to one wound location as I'm using Primitive Mesh Data and it takes up 4 of my 32 total vars.
