There are some monster mushrooms brewing out there! Some large chanterelles found in Mt. Hood National Forest recently.

The OR coast is a mushroom hunters dream. Whether you're picking coastal porcini & chanterelle, enjoying wandering trails, or pursuing the funkier fungal finds.

The dreamiest places are often found off the beaten path.

Still so cool to me! I’ve seen a badger but I didn’t get a photo.

Thank you! The mushrooms in the forest really stood out to me one day and I decided I needed to paint the moment.

If you happen to see one and get a photo I’d love to see it. I would like to do a whole series on mustelids, they’re all so sassy and interesting! 😅

Also, thanks for answering. Wasn’t sure anyone would respond to this. Lol

Yep. Folks are either tuned out, or they’re tuned in & being spoon fed lies. Frustratingly, ppl who hate PDX know it’s a lie & justify by saying “well, homeless people” as if that isn’t a problem in every major US city. How does homeless folks *existing* justify sending in the national guard? Wild 🤦🏼‍♀️
swordfernstudios.bsky.social
Folks from other places. Y’all know that the news about Portland is false, right? The stories that the city is a burning hellhole?

Lies.

US media is complicit for pedaling the lies, even showing video clips from other countries to fit the narrative.

Their lies WILL bring harm to PDX.

Mushroom foraging is just adult treasure hunting.

CHANGE MY MIND!

Took a trip to the coast to pick some porcini! Needs more rain to get really productive but they’re still coming up in the Pacific Northwest. Magical lil things. ☺️

Thanks! It’s definitely different every year here as well, depending on rain.
