Here’s one I took in July (not that recent now that I remember it’s mid-October) of a pair of bald eagles.

Two bald eagles perch on the branches of a pine tree. One eagle stands upright, looking to the side, while the other has its wings partly open as if landing or preparing to take off. The sky is clear and blue behind them.

Seems like an appropriate time to remind everyone that, in particular, lower enlisted military members are not paid enough, and often live paycheck to paycheck.

They're more likely than civilians to be in single-earner households, and they have to keep working during a shutdown.
