I started a blog substack.com/@svtworks , did some reflecting and there was much to be grateful for that led me to my kidlit journey and connected me with creatives (and of course books).
Also the blogging is an exercise to tell quick stories and have fun doodling. It's a catchall -after coffee.

I think what disappoints me about Banned Books Week is that it's a campaign of bottled awareness that disappears the other 51 weeks of the year. We are supposed to react with shock and dismay when we learn books are banned. What we need are anger and refusal.
