Ukraine’s Ministry of Energy denied reports that the heating season will start on 1 Nov .
Local authorities decide when to begin heating — once the average temperature stays below +8°C for 3+ days.
The 1 Nov date in the Cabinet’s resolution refers only to gas market rules.

The boy’s father had only recently returned home — freed this spring after three years in russian captivity.

In Shostka, Sumy Oblast, people have to cook their meals outdoors after repeated russian attacks left the city without electricity and gas. Water is supplied on a schedule. Imagine this in the middle of winter.

❗️Over the past few days, russia has destroyed two power substations that supplied Kharkiv with electricity, Mayor Terekhov said.

Given the pattern of recent attacks, it’s already clear that the coming winter will be the hardest for Kharkiv since the start of the war, he added.
