I feel like there's more tactical depth to Tactics Ogre, but the pacing of FFT makes all the difference to me. Smaller fields and fewer units affects the flow in a major way, but I honestly prefer it. Win or lose, the battles are quick, and I feel ready to take on another.

FFT is still my favorite after all these years. I've probably replayed Tactics Ogre more but everything here really just lands perfectly for me. I can't believe it didn't get a dozen sequels.
