As you’re preparing for your Thanksgiving meal, remember the skilled work it took to get that food to your grocery store.

Tell us your favorite Thanksgiving dish, and we can share some of what we know about the work behind the ingredients.

This is an amazing and uplifting list.
Please give me an unironic list of things that have gotten better over the last ten years because I’m spiraling.

I’ll start: you can buy an enormous TV from Costco for like $100 bucks now.

One of my favorite labs is the “pendulum to a song” lab which is a sample activity now in the AP Physics 1 CED. One of my students took it to a different level. Turn up the volume 😀 #iteachphysics

Thanks to the amazing Michael Freeman’s @afreeparticle.com collision simulations for some whiteboard work yesterday with AP1. They were wow-ed and also left with a pretty good understanding of center of mass. #iteachphysics

While I inhabit books a lot and easily get lost in a fiction plot, I don’t usually get emotional. As with her other books, @sonalidev.bsky.social ‘s There’s something about Mira had me shedding tears for the characters. Maybe because her plots hit too close to home. #booksky

@jacobsphysics.bsky.social True story: A student in AP1 today wanted to know if they could use Bertha’s rule of 1s as a “physics fact” for a Justify question in the AP exam!!!! I mentioned you as the author of the rule they were so excited as they remembered you from the APC videos. #iteachphysics

Listened to student presentations on their “adopted Physicist” #AAPT in class today. One student spoke about their physicist (a college prof) who teaches a class a day + has a TA grade tests, then threw me a sympathetic glance. Ms N you have so much more grading to do in comparison 😳 #iteachphysics

Welp in my attempt to be friendly and make conversation with a parking lot attendant I said I hope we can just wave our hands and use the chip in our palms to pay someday. What I left unsaid was …. and effectively automate your job 🤦🏾‍♀️

I should stop trying to be friendly to strangers #anxietycoping
