Medicare for All would save $450B a year.

Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity.

Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.

It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.
Hear me out.... what if Andrew goes to the US and in some hearing while trying to give a clever bullshit (such as the "can't sweat" thing), he accidentally makes some revelation about Epstein that brings down Trump?

We're due a bit of luck, aren't we?

If you're a National Trust member, it's that time of year again: Midnight tonight is the deadline. It's a shame people have to keep doing this to keep a toehold on historical truth in this country, but here we are. Voting link: www.nationaltrust.org.uk/who-we-are/a...

A woman is killed by a man every 3 days in the UK...

78% are murdered by a partner/ex

Yet not once have I heard Reform talk about this

Not once have I heard them back measures to protect women’s safety

In fact, they voted against them...

Dear America. Please stop slandering our cities with racist lies. Thanks, the UK.

Kat is being federally charged by the FBI for protesting at Broadview.

This is a flagrant political prosecution by the Trump administration, which is trying to prevent free speech and free association.

I am proud of Kat. Her movement is being targeted by the government. She needs your support.
I have been charged in a federal indictment sought by the Department of Justice.

This political prosecution is an attack on all of our First Amendment rights. I’m not backing down, and we’re going to win.
There is something deeply DEEPLY wrong with the way the media report this stuff.
Wow - those are quite phenomenal headlines given the details of the story.

Ahh look, he’s just a ‘nerdy’ guy. No harm done.

You need to scroll down to paragraph 13 of the Sky piece to find the full story!

So, fascists then, just stylistically British fascists.

Danny Kruger, "Yes"

Your daily reminder that the government continues to commercially support an individual who wants to destroy it through fascist violence.
Elon musk: ‘Civil war in Britain is inevitable. Just a question of when.’
Absolutely. Benefits are spent quickly in the local economy and much of it ends up back with the govt as tax. That's all economic activity that counts as GDP. People on benefits do not put money in offshore tax havens.

And yet benefits are always discussed as if that money just disappears.

Mari Novik, FT, "When did you two first get to know each other?"

Nigel Farage "No"

Turning to Ellie-Ann Reynolds he says, "Let's keep our personal life out of this.. Sorry, got to have some fun doing it"
If journalists would just do their job, which is to inform the public about basic facts and ask Farage repeatedly about this stuff until he gives them satisfactory answers, then no.

Many MPs describe being overrun with work. Nigel Farage has found time for another 12 jobs.

Asylum seekers, housed in hotels in Manchester, are reaching out in their own words to address the concerns of the local community.

Please take a minute to read their letter, & share it with the people in your life who need to hear the truth about the people they are protesting.
We now bring you live footage from The Times offices...
I am tighter than a duck's arse and buy most of my furniture from Facebook marketplace.

But £600 for three chairs, assuming they're good quality, really isn't a lot of money.
It just needs some journalists willing and able to do their bloody job and he could be finished well before 2029.
"I can't comment beyond that"

Yes of course you can. You could clearly state that any other elected representative of UKIP, the Brexit party or reform that is found to have been traitorous will face all due consequences. You could say that you are investigating the allegations.

He is vulnerable yes, he also doesn’t stand up to scrutiny very well at all. He starts clutching his pearls in a very matronly faux outrage way. He isn’t very good it’s just people rarely take him on .
His entire political career is based on a false victimhood schtick, so he always does this "how dare you ask that question, totally unfair" act in interviews whenever he faces any critical or searching questioning. Which is actually not very often at all.
Making party political capital out of horrific crime is the absolute lowest of the low. There's been quite a lot of it over over grooming gangs but using the victims as political pawns is the lowest we've seen yet.
