So I'm going to call the formlock at this point because people have gotten the total days up to 361. But since it's so close, I'll consider it a total of 1 full year as this dracorat here. I've been considering the name Rai for her, but will see how things feel out going forward.

Making a new character that can cover both anime TF as well as the occasional "creature shaped inanimate"!

Her name is Aka-no-mae/赤の前 ("Before the Red"), a long-lived kitsune who makes a living by selling hand-crafted merchandise of your favorite anime/manga/video games!

Every so often I get reminded why I can't stand The Forgotten Realms. Today, it's how often hack writers have relied on making Harpers and Emerald Enclave antagonists while patting themselves on the back for their big-boy world of murky grey morality as if it were novel insight.

imo the idea of “consistent character” can trap writers in logic jail. human beings are often self-contradictory & complicated. for example "loyal" people are not comprised of code that prevents them from taking any action that could be conceived of by anyone anywhere as disloyal

this is great to remember not only as a writer, but as a consumer of media. when you find yourself getting annoyed at a story for a character doing something that "makes no sense," give yourself a richer experience instead by asking what might that say about the character, the story, and its themes?
