It’s been thirteen years since Jordan Davis and his friends stopped at a gas station in Jacksonville, Florida. A white man complained that their music was too loud. After approaching the teenagers, he pulled out a gun and shot Jordan multiple times, killing him.

Gov. Walz promised us action in the wake of the deadly shooting at Annunciation Catholic School. Two months later, we’re still waiting.

Make no mistake: @governorwalz.mn.gov is the ONLY person who can call a special session or take executive action on gun violence in Minnesota. So why won’t he?

Seven years ago, in the deadliest attack on a synagogue in U.S. history, a man with an AR-15, high-capacity magazines, and three Glock pistols opened fire at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, PA. He shot and killed 11 people, some of them Holocaust survivors, and shot and wounded six others.

Two years ago, a man with a Ruger AR-10 and high-capacity magazines opened fire on people in a bowling alley in Lewiston, Maine. He shot and killed eight people and wounded three others in less than a minute. He then drove to a nearby bar, where he shot and killed ten people and wounded ten others.

On this day in 2022, a typical morning at Central Visual and Performing Arts High School in St. Louis, MO became a nightmare. A former student, armed with an AR-15 and high-capacity magazines, opened fire. In minutes, a student and a teacher were shot and killed, and seven others were wounded.

It has been a particularly violent weekend at schools across Mississippi: Last night, one person was killed and two others were wounded in a shooting near Alcorn State University. And during a tailgate at Jackson State University, a child was wounded in shooting outside the football stadium.
