Two of your old boys arguably in their greatest backline, too?
Good work, worm your way into the heart of the crowd etc
Ha, yes, they rinsed you out good and proper, didnt' they?
I wasn't lucky enough to see them that early on, sadly - think it would have been on the Night Time tour, so Youth had been and gone by then. But I remember how brutal they seemed - such an aggressive approach. Unique sound, so choking.
Great artwork band, weren't they? At least early on. The menace of the sleeves seemed in total lockstep with that grinding claustrophobic horror. It felt like being trapped listening to them.
They were keen on this format . I’ve got a similar-sized Follow The Leaders
Not played #weekendsingles for a while. In appreciation of the late Stephen Luscombe, here’s four fine servings of Blancmange. Golden mould-ies!
Have a boss weekend with your real-life pal. Keep the good vibes up, always making people smile.
Ron Lyne from online?
Lynne Ternet from ye internette?

Sorry, slow early evening here
I am no great lover of Halloween - or at least the late-stage capitalist appropriation of a pagan festival, yada yada - but you’d be er, Poe-faced not to be moved by this effort.
‘£20 for the fox?’ is a household staple round here. What a brilliant show that is.
That's a terrific cast as well, isn't it? Looking forward to this one.
It's just a bad orchard, probably
It can also just make a nice change from the usual!
But ostensibly, I'm with you. I like to go at my own pace in most things.
I get your argument - I've been that person. That said, I've recently listened to a few people, most recently Budgie, reading his book and found it to be an enhanced feature - I followed along in a 'read-a-long' at times with my copy. My biggest problem with novels now is remembering stuff.
I worked with someone who told me their first telephone number was 'Byfleet 4'
Diane Keaton could do anything. She's absolutely outstanding here in Sleeper, in which she and Woody Allen attempt to steal the nose, which is all that is left of 'The Leader'. It'sll gravy, but go for it from 4:27

‘Yes, I know it was your favourite cape. But I did warn you about falling asleep on the subway. We’ll just have to order you a new one off eBay’
It’s a long old trip, isn’t it? Not all the scenery was good, but there were beautiful views now and again (even in the cave). Here’s to the roads ahead, wherever they lead us.
The school reports really are not good at this time. And no, remarkably, no hair products were ever used. It was just really dry and wiry. I still know this boy though, better now than I did then, thankfully.
Possibly 1983/early 1984, probably a Sunday. I was living in a cave, clearly, where I was in no way influenced by messrs Smith or McCulloch. No, mam.
I hope so. Music plays such a big part in family life - we always try and do a few gigs a year together still and they are 26 and 22 now. Keeps you young, doesn’t it. Great list, mate. Keep rockin’
