I was intrigued to find out what Dynasty sounded like. Don’t recall that one at all. It came in at 20 and had gone the following week. It appears to be a Chic kind of deal.

Of course, perspective and knowledge now reveals it to be fairly Eno-esque, but then who wasn’t?

Here’s Gary, straight in at 15. 46 years ago last week. Eek.

I loved that era - such a bizarre mix of styles going on. Anything went, really, looking back.

🎶 Make way for a lady…🎶
My mum loves that album.

What an incredible film that is. Amazing how claustrophobic so much space can be made to feel. All that and Donald Pleasence.

None of this really matters when you grow up. All that stuff is bullshit in the end. Yeah, you can be cool with a new or cult band, but so what?
I once saw CMAT do I Wanna Be a Cowboy, Baby in front of maybe 50 people, but I got a far higger thrill hearing it tonight in front of 4,000 at Brixton.

Yes, I was talking about that the other night - it really was pot luck. When they were good it was utterly out of this world. Portsmouth Guildhall in 1984 was something else. Not only that, Steve came out and chatted to us spotty youths for ages after - what a top man he was, and remains.
