“There must be accountability for Israel’s crimes against the Palestinian people.” 🇵🇸 The Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign, @ipsc.bsky.social, says Israel’s genocide of the Palestinian people is “the shame of the world”. Read more in GCN’s October issue 👉 bit.ly/gcnoct25

Sorry to post from Twitter, but this footage is one of the most revolting I've ever seen. It shames us all.

The billionaires don't need to give their money away (to corrupt charities that just syphon the money back to them).

It needs to be taken away exactly as it was in the 1970's when the highest tax rate was 90% in nearly every county.
"Newcomer of The Week" would be more appropriate.
I'd recommend a tin of mushy peas, probably Harry Ramsden's chip chop style, but not sure they have the ring pull opener, which will be essential. Delicious cold. Or a tin of mackerel if you want to piss off your fellow travellers.

Zack Polanski is being trolled by right-wing media outlets - and he’s wiping the floor with them… is this a new era in UK politics?

Even if I thought it, I don't, I'd have to be pretty stupid to say it out loud. Not a nice person.

I edited my first newspaper when I was 26 in 2014. 11 years on, a lovely surprise to be nominated for the 2025 Editors' Editor Award by The British Society of Magazine Editors for my work at Byline Times. A testament to the entire brilliant team @bylinetimes.bsky.social

Poor take by Curtice.

This is a disaster for Farage. Polls had RefUK closely winning. Losing by 11% signposts Plaid to all of Wales as THE tactical choice for Senedd Elex and drains RefUK momentum.

"Something is happening out there", alright. People are uniting to tell Farage to feck right off.
Prof John Curtice also calling it a great night for Reform too & focusing on Lab vote collapse instead of the turnout + tactical vote

Good point from @adambienkov.bsky.social - if the massed ranks of the right wing press with BBC boosting, plus the vast amount of money (and foreign social media bots) couldn’t get Reform over the line, what will?

The Caerphilly result is what we need to see everywhere at the next election: people coordinating to vote tactically for parties which seek a fairer, kinder, greener country.
Pushing out both those who have betrayed our trust AND those who seek to exploit that betrayal.
