Hi followers! Give me a heads up if your affiliated with any of the Facebook sci/fi and fantasy book groups. Nice to see you here! I still pop over to FB, but only on my PC, so not often. Usually I'm here blabbing about books, podcasts, and whatever I watch on screen.

Always comforting when folks start converting their assets to precious metals.

And all those long silky gowns the actresses wore in the 1930s would've gone up in a second.

Those of us who grew up on Katniss Everdeen or Mr Rogers or Star Trek are just as confused.

Actually, in the US, I only got Columbus day in Massachusetts! So unfortunate.

Sort of surprised that's celebrated in the Caribbean. There's an Australian day to celebrate the first fleet landing, and not everyone is enthusiastic. But have to admit I enjoy the day off.

Some times that's just being on the far right tail of the intelligence bell-shaped curve, a neurodivergence that's often overlooked.

I probably move to Massachusetts if I became pregnant under those circumstances.

Do you get Columbus day off ?

Karen Black, iconic. Haven't thought of her in some time.

I hope they were gentle with the Guinea pigs when they painted them.
Poster for a fund raising event during which Guinea pigs were painted. Ambiguous use of the word painted but we hope for the best.

Tangerine Caligula...now this scroll has been worthwhile.

Good for you. Life's too short to be told what you should accept. Lately, anybody who's saying "(insert subgroup) is the problem" gets a block from me. I don't need divisive or hateful opinions right now.

Very clever construction and lovely palette. You definitely are multi-talented.

Most of those replies seemed okay to me. But I skim and it's hard for me to tell on line exactly what people mean. Hard to know if their trying for sarcasm or humor or being serious. I usually give them the benefit of the doubt. The really awful people I block.

Good point. Since it's a maga fantasy, I assumed it'd be traditional, but your right. Maga may have dreamed up a "scary" nonbinary cast of characters.

So good. And the kimchee. Fermented is a no no too, so double sad.

Exactly. Dolls, cartoons, and puppets too. It's relentless.

Insults the legitimately mentally ill and sweeps maga's responsibility for ugly choices and beliefs under the rug.

War is murder barbie noem. Conquest is that drunk in the bad suits. Death we can give to rfk... seven deadly sins is also up for grabs.

Definitely going with the tawny. The tawny tends to fall asleep on warm pavement and rocks so we've run a few into the local vet just in case of injury. All so far have just been napping.
