Always remember when you're lodging your displeasure: The people you talk to are powerless to make changes, they can only pass your concerns up the chain. Don't blame them for what their bosses do.

(also a good rule of thumb when complaining to your local representative politician)
Agents need these jobs for medical insurance. A lot of them are sympathetic to your concerns. MC global (upper level of corporate, above regional corporate) is hounding bosses to end this and bosses are snapping at workers as a result. Please be kind when you call, they’re getting slammed (2)

Morale at paypros call centers is in the toilet right now. It’s not just normal Black Friday stress, they’re being pounded. Corporate is pressuring bosses to end the paypros call campaigns. Source familiar w/ internals at MC stressed that folks should stand their ground but be kind to agents (1)

Either? I spit on that challenge. Here's a song with both 'went' and 'away' and they're right next to each other in the lyrics (and also the song extremely rules): youtu.be/Wn9E5i7l-Eg

I don’t want to get myself potentially in trouble with one of my mutuals. But Lawrence of Arabia is nearly four hours. Four. WHY SO LONG DAVID? AND YOU HAVE THE HIDE TO CALL YOURSELF LEAN?

Old mate is watching the Barbie movie. Reminds me of why I haven't watched the Oscars for thirty years. Margot Robbie was... erm... robbed.

Some of the #RisingTide champions arrested are out of police custody and ready for more climate action 💚 We've asked 'nicely' for decades. Disobeying institutions that abuse power to deliberately harm those less powerful is a vital tenant of a healthy democracy.

You couldn't make this song today. She'd have to sing "Maybe I should have set my heart to automated full self driving". Honestly, you can't make this stuff up. We're going to hell in a shopping cart.

As one commenter noted, plenty of Americans did this in Afghanistan, often to people who weren't the equivalent of national guards. Nothing like beheading happened to them. A lot got medals!

Introduce yourself with 5 concerts you've seen (and what I thought about them!):

Goldfrapp - apparently I liked this more than Alison Goldfrapp did. She kept apologising for what was a great night out!
The Damned - I thought when they came on stage that they were too old. Turns out not!

Playing the Outer Worlds. Sometimes I find the jokes about capitalism heavy-handed. But then I remember that the only reason corporations don't actually fine you if you kill yourself on the job is because they're not allowed to yet.

Drives me nuts that you have to be 18 to get a PayPal account. You're old enough to shovel fries at McDonalds, sure, but PayPal? Steady on there, sport.

As a consequence, I have to go through no end of fucking around transferring money for my niece.

She forgot to mention all the pro-Israeli accounts based in India. Huh.

Never ceases to amuse me when someone calls Jefferson an abolitionist. Sure, he left slaves he could’ve easily manumitted in his will, even to his nephew. But he SAID he was against slavery (to people who hated slavery and wanted to know what was wrong with him)!
Thanks for joining the Party so late.

The point I've made REPEATEDLY is that you can't hold Jefferson to a standard we can't even live up to today.

Jefferson… an abolitionist… ALSO knew slavery was bad. So how did he/society-at-large approve of his actions?

Reconcile that.

I blanked on how to spell 'Parisienne' so I searched for 'native of Paris'. I got a webpage - which you had to click before you found out it was an AI page and what word they were suggesting - which told me I was probably looking for 'Texan'.

Thanks, AI. But I'm not talking about Paris, Texas.
