It's why I have such an incredibly difficult time finding queer spaces where I fit in. Whiteness is always centered, and then you're punished for not centering it yourself. I always get told I 'make people uncomfortable' not due to my behavior, but simply because of my presence.

News outlets are right to not play along with the Defense Department directive that tries to force reporters to only publish information officially authorized by the department.

This is government censorship, plain and simple.

The Pentagon is telling beat reporters to sign restrictive new rules by Tuesday or surrender their press passes by Wednesday. Many news organizations are rejecting the ultimatum and saying they will not sign.
