#wipwednesday all is well and good in camp #reijean 😍 Your honor, Reiner is in love❤️

The day had finally arrived, and Reiner was excited to say the least. Jean had finally finished his art degree graduated from university, and the day before they had celebrated with Jean’s mother at a nice restaurant. But today was for him and Jean alone. Reiner had taken the day off from his job at the local museum, where he put his history degree to good use every day. Humming cheerfully, he went about setting up their shared bedroom for what he had in mind. Passing his old baseball bat, resting against the wall by the radiator, he smiled to himself and recalled their first date. If one could even call it that. Jean had taken him by surprise, being as demanding as he was, but Reiner had loved every second of it. The sheer fascination he had felt when he had eased the bat into Jean had blown his mind entirely and as weird as it seemed, that had been the moment he knew that Jean was a keeper. And so Reiner had kept him. And Jean had kept demanding, pleading, and begging, and Reiner loved him dearly.

It was Sunday
Reiner was watching the sun track across the floor through a dirty window in the abandoned warehouse.
It was a dangerous game he liked to play, when the church was full of throngs of people to avoid, when his options for shelter were limited. When temptations to give into the other side of guilt welled up and came close to spilling over. There was no God here. Only Reiner and the sun, creeping closer.

Reiner doesn't laugh. He should have laughed, that was excellent delivery. Instead his eyes well up with an unbearable tenderness that Jean is already well acquainted with, the kind that takes him by surprise at the most unexpected moments, that makes open secrets threaten to spill out unchecked.
Reiner licks his lips, leaving them parted. Coward that he is, Jean leans in to kiss them.
