True. Sadly, but true
I fear that Tottenham are basically as bad right now as they were in January/February, but with less mitigation, less credit in the bank for the manager, and without the sense of shared purpose provided by the Europa League campaign.

Good piece. In contrast here is a screenshot of seat availability in my section of the south stand for tonight's 8pm kick-off. Available seats in colour. And you can't buy them unless you have a membership, min cost £45, and seats costs £62.50. There's a message there, clubs won't listen though

To illustrate how disingenuous this campaign is

“85% have made payments to get better cars” does *not* mean “85% have bought Beamers”. Most people don’t lease Beamers with the scheme. The extra payments are adaptations to allow disabled people to use the cars, wheelchair hoists for eg

Watched grandson's under 12s this am. Lost 7-1. They've entered a different league this season where they are outclassed. Teams are quicker, pass through our defence. We're constantly caught on the ball. Defence stretched out of shape. Can't play out. Many unnecessary mistakes

Just watched it again

"Succession" and how the children of billionaire Spurs/Arsenal are owners are taking charge

It has led to quips about the TV show, and "luckiest sperm"

It will lead to change, and has already cost two of PL's biggest figures in Daniel Levy and Tim Lewis

This new regime needs to be careful it doesn’t end up looking like the old regime. Clubs shouldn’t be putting this stuff anywhere near fans. @uglygame.bsky.social has done the research.

Given that both deals are over a year old, and we haven't done stuff like that before, I thought that it was an interesting (unwelcome) development

This week has been an antidote to power club football. Make do and mend teams, full of faulty parts giving their people a night or two of glorious delirium.

Still fuming about Reform and SEND, so soothed by Dr Lisa who understands and preaches the value of belonging and how we can contribute to that
A little post on belonging and mattering for children and young people living with the legacy of trauma...

Let's not forget Reform's targeting children with special needs. Acute lack of resources for some of our most vulnerable children, but no, problem is over-diagnosis and other children feeling left out. One solution - ban neurodiverse children from wearing ear defenders in school. Utterly disgusting

Gripes about performance and tickets to one side, missed a couple of games and on my way to the Lane. Nowhere else I'd rather be.

It would be a very easy win to reduce prices by 25% across the board. They’d still be making a tonne more than at the lane. But it’d get them some much needed credit from the fan base.

Even after a defeat or shite game I'll still usually see people and have a laugh with them. That's a great powerful thing about football is how it brings people together. Put them off and it becomes a solitary, less enjoyable experience.

Club email offering ST holders (and members?) chance to buy guest tickets for Fulham, Brentford. So sales not going well then. Bearing in mind that until now most PL games are effectively sold out. Fans had enough so pick and choose? Will club see price as a factor? Feels like something has changed

Truly awful. Brainless. Second game in a week where we crumble under intensity and pressure. Couldn't even kick the ball down the other end.
