FYI.

Ophelia from “Hamlet” killed herself bc she was grieving.

The man she loved was ‘crazy,’ her dad = dead, & blames herself.

She was heartbroken & trapped in a world that gave her no way to exist w/o the men around her.

It wasn’t weakness, it’s what happens when love & duty tear you apart.

Anyways I'm on The Song Rising and god the tension in these books is so good. Like the slow burn is insane??? Loving the balance of interpersonal relationships and plot and I also love that the romance doesn't overshadow everything else.

Games you wouldn't play. Books you wouldn't read. Decommercialise your preconceptions of what art deserves to exist
