Last night I finally realized that the reason so many YouTube voiceover people sound slightly off is that it's not people reading a script, it's words fed into a machine producing the audio. I am irrationally angry about this.

Okay my favorite incorrect L'Engle fact from #StrangerThings5 videos has been people who pronounce IT as "I.T." like the large pulsing brain mind-controlling everyone has a day job as your sysadmin.
I'm really enjoying the "everything you need to know about #StrangerThings5" youtube videos because they're clearly from people who want to be first rather than right and are getting incredibly basic shit wrong. Like, character name pronunciation.

I feel like these discussions need to at least acknowledge that your average five year old has seen The Wizard of Oz and knows what happens to the Witch there. Water that burns and melts her is the ending people familiar with the movie (which is far more than the Baum books) are starting from.

Audience culture is the worst it's ever been, I swear to god. People forgot how to act. I'm at the theater, trying to enjoy my show, which I've paid GOOD MONEY for, and these two old assholes are in the balcony heckling the life out of the poor bear onstage. Not letting him finish a single joke.

#StrangerThings5 With the whole Mr Whatsit plotline going on I just thought I'd point out that Sesame Street revealed Snuffleupagus to the adults (so that kids knew adults would believe them if they made a strange new friend) in November of 1985, so almost 2 years before the events of this season.

Okay, well, first of all, calling it "the Bajoran war" makes it sound like it's the Bajorans' fault that their world was occupied by Cardassia, and that they were wrong to fight back; SECOND, I am in this picture and I do not like it.
