This year's Remembrance Day seems to be carrying the weight of context for me. To be honouring those who fought and died against fascism when fascism is on the rise again within the US government and various parts of the world seems... like an act of protest.

I don't have "adult beverages" very often, these days. But, I will raise a glass of yet-to-be-determined to my late grandfather and my late uncle who both passed away on this date 29 years and 24 years ago, respectively. I miss them both dearly. 😔
