There is probably some truth to the idea that we're going to have to get used to seeing younger candidates with some embarrassing internet histories. That's fine but this guy seems not to have been vetted thoroughly enough. Edgelord seems like a pretty good description of Platner.
In 2028 I will only vote for a Democrat who vows to tear down this ballroom and promises to restore both the East Wing and the Rose Garden. There are numerous other important issues to be sure but this has to done. We can call it Detrumpification.
If a Democrat takes the White House the next time around, this ballroom needs to be torn down. The concrete slab in the Rose Garden needs to go too. There are hundreds of other important things that will need to be done but this has to be somewhere on the list.
The next Democrat who occupies the White House needs to demolish this monstrosity along with the concrete in the Rose Garden. It's not going to be the most important thing to fix of course but it absolutely needs to be done.
I'm sure Mills has served the state well and obviously she's had success with the voters. That's nice and we can all congratulate her on a fine career and wish her a happy retirement.

Now, can we please find someone who was born after the Truman administration?
I'll just add that such people are essentially untreatable and, as far as I know, they get worse with age.
She's just another operator who figured out how to masquerade as some sort of moderate truth teller. Apparently it pays well sometimes.
That was a line crafted for the Newsmax audience. Johnson was on MSNBC first thing this morning and didn't slip that in. These people are really transparent with their pandering and bullshit. And the page 57 thing is nonsense.
About the first thing that came to mind for me. I feel old but that video was a popular one back then.
Vought has been waiting his whole life for this moment. He can finally be open with his racism.
How does someone get to be like Russell Vought? Was he not held enough as a child?
Yes, JD Vance is trash and I wish democrats would start playing hardball a little more. You don't cede ground to people like this and you don't keep trying to find their sense of decency. He doesn't have one.

The good news is Vance isn't that sharp.
I got through about four minutes of this absurd spectacle. He went right from reminiscing about Victory At Sea to claiming merit is the new lodestar. That's not an accident. As
rambling and stupid as it is you can still pick up the message. It's all white grievance.
This is absolutely true. The country as we've known it began to take shape because of those three amendments, especially the due process clause of the 14th. Everything that grew out of those amendments over the next hundred years are just about all the things right wingers hate.
Ossoff is pretty impressive and it wouldn't surprise me at all if he pulls off another win in Georgia. There are quite a few good young democrats out there.

He's right too. We have to keep showing up at every election and we have to find candidates who will push back on this lawlessness.
The Twilight Zone appearance is a good choice but he was also in an episode of The Untouchables called Snowball where he plays an ambitious and really malevolent villain. It's a good one.
This was one of several scenes I remembered yesterday. It's not as well known as some of Redford's other movies but it's great fun. George Segal has been another of my favorites since childhood so I'm just glad they did at least one movie together.

He was a great actor and so much more.
So sad to lose a tireless champion for the environment.
R.I.P. Robert Redford.
