If Science Saru does as good a job with it as they have with Dandadan, we’ll be ok.
"GM’s biggest problem, and one that’s been a constant since the ‘50s, is that as a corporation they’re fundamentally reactive."

Agree. The weirdest part is that they're selectively reactive. Case in point: When the new Bronco came out, they could have released a similar Blazer and printed money...
I'll be honest; I'm not 100% familiar with the justification for or purpose of the EV1 other than just a technology demonstrator. An idle flex, in other words. There certainly wasn't any market for EVs at the time...
QOTD: What's been GM's most boneheaded move throughout the years?

The Cimarron? 86ing the Fiero just as it was getting good? The 8-6-4? So much to choose from...
Eliminating Apple CarPlay/Android Auto from *all* of its vehicles is very much (again) a puzzling "GM thing" to do.

While I understand some of the rationale, I disagree with further limiting how a consumer chooses to engage with their vehicle.
My parents owned one of those for a while. Fantastic trip car; would eat up the miles and had a front bench.

Cheapest-feeling turn signal stalk EVER. *crack* 😬
The pre-7-series! 😍
Quite possibly the greatest C-pillars in the history of C-pillars.
It's funny how many Europeans whiffed on this one. 😉 Any North American enthusiast worth their salt got this first try.

Love Torx so much, in all applications.
They do *proper* rotaries down under. 🤩

Would love to hear this beast.
Looks fairly straightforward. Hopefully you don't fight too much with the vapor barrier...
Even Toyotas are held in pretty high esteem here. So it probably helped that Lexus had a bit of a head start prestige-wise. Aaron Severson put it best, I think:

What the hell is a smartbed.

😵‍💫
Amazing how much brand cachet Lexus acquired so quickly here in the US. I mean, by the end of the '90s, if not before, "the Lexus of ________" was a real expression in common use.

Reminds me of the TG review of the LFA where Hammond derided it for being a Lexus. I didn't have an issue with it...
Oh, I'm sure the feral cats folks are the exception. 😁
My experience with reddit has demonstrated, if nothing else, that regardless of my question and how I phrase it and how much of a good-faith effort I make to follow the subreddit's rules, there's a 99.9% chance I will get labeled human trash anyway.
Was it even offered in the UK? Once upon a time, they were ubiquitous here in the States.

Guess the car in 5 tries. A new car is available each day.

Nice find, but this paragraph is kind of a disaster.

Especially the last sentence. The fan clutch is WAY too close to the radiator, and I have serious concerns about the coil mounting situation. Just to flag a couple issues.

Neat build, but it could use some help.
Oh it's a replica. Fascinating. I had no idea that existed!
Yep; you are. There's no coming back from the buck teeth... 😅
Agreed. It looks FAR too tall and goofy.
Jealous! I've only been to Alpha Golf (G-BOAG) in Seattle.

Are you sure that's in Germany? The only one there is F-BVFB at the Sinsheim Museum:
