Greetings. I'm a 30+ year veteran of the games industry. I've made Lots of my own original IP like TY the Tasmanian Tiger and Blade Kitten. As well as directing some smaller lesser known IP like Star Wars: The Force Unleashed :D

Well still no fiber but at least my old internet is still working. Meanwhile I have used today to clean up my workspace and moved my PC off the floor (which I've been meaning to do for years.

Fiber guy showed up on time and is mid install. I had to pull my whole work space apart for him to get access to the old port. Probably a good time to clean up and do some cable management.

Was playing around with some sprite art again this morning. Sometimes it's just a nice way to relax since it's not actually for anything other than learning and experimenting.
Today was for a smaller sprite with more clarity. I think it worked.

I want to like the new Metroid game - it's really pretty, but it's also really... safe? There's none of the really interesting new stuff like in MK World, TotK, Mario Wonder or even Bananza.
It has all the creative energy of a reskin.

Not loving Metroid so far - lots of "story" to let me know that I've lost all my abilities and I'm getting new ones that are sort of the same but have different names.

On one hand, I'd love to see Frieren as a big-budget, live-action series. On the other hand, the anime is near-perfect and there's no way live-action could ever come close to matching it.
I'll accept an original live-action fantasy that's as well thought out and presented. (LotR doesn't count)

I'll be interested to see how many people are disappointed with the original cut of Star Wars when they find out it's not really that different in any major way. Unlike movies like Blade Runner, Aliens, or Close Encounters, where the cuts are noticeably changed.

Today I decide to rip some 3D blu rays that I found out the back. You can watch them on the quest so I’m going to give that a go.

Just finished Age of Imprisonment, just in time too. Metroid is apparently out for delivery.
It was ok. More than good enough spend the time to finish it. So that’s good.
I would like a new Zelda game though, pretty please.

It will be nice to see Star Wars again on the big screen. Last time was nearly 30 years ago with the special editions. December 27 would be 50 years for me (it took 6 months to get an Aus release back then)

If only they could make the publisher side of development more efficient so they don't pull shit like spending 12 months on working out a contract for a 6 month project.

Today marks 2 years since I had my triple bypass. I'm doing fine. Sure I have to be a bit more careful carrying heavy stuff and my pecs near the scar can ache sometimes but I'm happy to be still around to make comics and games.

So the issue was at the NBN installer's side of things. They rescheduled for next week. But they only sent a message 2 hours after the end of the booking. At least it's a morning one.
