OK, time to 'fess up. I came across this a while ago and I unironically enjoy it. I can also see Postmodern Jukebox doing a great version of it eventually.

A new report by @runnymedetrust.bsky.social has found that 13% of British citizens — including me — are at risk of having their citizenship stripped from them by the UK government.

It rises to 60% of British citizens of colour.

This is absolutely shocking.

New research exposes racist reality of UK citizenship stripping laws that place 3 in 5 people of colour at risk.

People keep wondering why they're going after Venezuela. It's because they want to do regime change and control its oil, then use a big tract of land there to keep a tax free "network state" that looks like Dubai but operates like Rhodesia. They are saying this out loud! Believe them!

Aside from who has got into the House of Lords, WHY is anyone putting more people in there? It's FULL. There is NO MORE SPACE LEFT. What ARE they thinking?

'cuse the shouting, but really. Why??

New Home Office impact assessment finds that cutting skilled and social care visas will cost the UK up to £10 billion with a central estimate of -£5.4 billion.

It would be good if this got even a fraction of the coverage devoted to the endless debate about boats, flags and Turkish barber shops

Like, sooner or later in the UK, the dog of the Greens will bark. At some point, the narrative will be, in all these places, ‘we neglected our core vote one time too many’. The disconnect is tremendous.

This is a giant problem for social democratic parties worldwide ATM - their leaderships are small C conservative, middle class and terrified of losing votes on the working class right, and their voters are very progressive and very disillusioned. Feels extremely unstable.
growing problem for the dems is that their voters want progressive candidates but the party leadership generally doesn't. so there's no structure to identify and vet good progressive candidates until it's too late.
The noisiest Dem primary so far is probably Maine Senate, and here for instance I think it’s useful to see that despite all the bad publicity Platner still appears to be the favorite:

This must've been a policy choice for just about every government I can recall now. Has it worked? Does it encourage young people into employment? Can it? They should ask those questions before wheeling it out yet again.
