Wild, 15 yrs R-wing people claiming to not be racist, that the GOP isn't racist, that 🇺🇲 doesn't still have issues and now we are watching brown people be kidnapped all across the country and birthright citizenship being placed on the chopping block and the R-wing people's mouths are falling open.

It's the year 2077. All movie studios belong to Netflix. Cinemas only play trailers for their streaming catalog. Every franchise is canceled after two movies/seasons, on mandatory cliffhangers. Nothing from before 2002 is available. Owning physical media is punishable by death. Netflix is love.

I don't think people understand that American fascism has always been against the environment, and anyone who was not male, white and christian. Anything that stands in the way of industrial gain, even incidentally like the environment, is treated not only as an obstacle, but as a threat/enemy.

It's endlessly infuriating that as an atheist, I have to listen to christians tell transgender people that they can't be transgender because they, the christians, don't believe it exists, and are trying to make it illegal to be transgender because they believe transgender as a concept doesn't exist.

I keep telling people that the reason the right attack vaccines is because they want sexually transmitted diseases to kill gay people. That was always the goal. And they're trying to shove women back in the home, meaning lesbian couples won't be able to afford life without a man. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ is under attack.

I know I may be writing to the wind, but.... I am part Arabic, I am against Israeli imperialistic tendencies and genocide/ethnic cleansing. I am an atheist, against Christianity nationalism. But I am also against antisemitism, and anti-christian dialogs. Most christians/Jews are against all this too

Am I concerned? Yes. But just because something is scary doesn't mean we have to be afraid.
The most dangerous moment in every authoritarian regime is when it realizes that its power has crested and is now falling. This is when they realize that if they are to achieve their maximalist ambitions, now they have to throw the dice — because no matter how bad the odds, their odds are best now.

How about we worry less, as a society, about whether individuals might be cheating to get a disability accommodation or some help buying food, and more about whether extremely wealthy people and corporations are paying their fair share of taxes?
