sometimes people challenge me like to suggest that my disability isn't at risk compared to intellectual or physical conditions and I always feel compelled to point out that of 6 major groups of disability targeted by the Nazis as "unworthy of life", people with schizophrenia and bipolar were a third

Those targeted for murder under Nazi eugenics policies were largely people living in private and state-operated institutions, identified as "life unworthy of life" (Lebensunwertes Leben). They included prisoners, degenerates, dissidents, and people with congenital cognitive and physical disabilities (Erbkranken) – people who were considered to be feeble-minded. In fact being diagnosed with "feeblemindedness" (German: Schwachsinn) was the main label approved in forced sterilization,[3] which included people who were diagnosed by a doctor as, or otherwise seemed to be:

Epileptic
Schizophrenic[4]
Manic-depressive (now known as bipolar)
Suffering from Cerebral palsy or muscular dystrophy
Deaf and/or blind
Homosexual or "transvestites" (which at the time was used to refer to intersex and transgender people, particularly trans women[5][6])

Y’all here is a fun fact: Portland has a brand new volunteer organization called “operation inflation” that allows people to borrow inflatable costumes for protests. They just started a couple weeks ago and have like a 160 costume library (and counting because people keep donating).

For those that have never had to deal with bluesky mod: A lot of my art features nudity that's not at all sexual but celebrates bodies. Every single time it gets marked by auto mod as Pornographic. Sometimes they're not even nude. I have to appeal the label wait sometimes WEEKS to maybe get it fixed

I'm writing about the upcoming change to the Bluesky TOS. Bluesky put out a feedback request and despite many people voicing concerns about the changes, very concerning updates have been maintained.

Bluesky has MANY moderation tools that users can utilize themselves to restrict content that they don't want to see without needing to prevent the content from being published on the site as a whole. Aside from content labels, there are user-run moderation lists and feeds so that anyone can curate their content easily.

Despite this, you have chosen to move forward with some incredibly harmful policies that restrict free speech. I implore you to remove the following policies:

1) The restriction of FICTIONAL kink content. Non-con, dub-con, and “dangerous” kink content that is FICTIONAL does not harm anyone.

2) The restriction of content depicting or discussing self harm, suicide, and substance abuse. Requiring content about these subjects to only be “educational” is extremely harmful to those dealing with these issues. Stigma only serves to further endanger people in crisis.

If these policy changes are not removed then I, among many others, will have to look for a different platform to use.
