Last night was a boardgame session of Forest Shuffle. Nice discovery, plenty of ways to mark points with cards combinations. Didn't do badly for a first-timer. 🙂👍
The garden's ladybugs survived the massive storm 2 nights ago and are back to hibernating in the spindle. ♥️
This morning's therapy: turns out I don't have depression, which is a huge relief. 👍 So we go straight to EMDR therapy for working on flashbacks issues. In the meantime, I'll keep practicing mindfulness and positive memories reprogramming until not needed anymore. 🙂 It's already helping a lot.

Fundraising campaign by a friend of a friend in Oxford! Don't hesitate to back this organic Sicilian olive oil, it's delish. It was sent to me as a gift last year and I have no problem backing it up every year from now on.

Last night's boardgaming session was good, we played Ishtar, a game I had picked up at Spiel Essen in 2019. 👍
Wouldn't know if you do - do you have an incriminating picture so that it can be assessed as to the level of Toriness? 🤔
I know Dupin (U.S.) was there beforehand, but I was talking about the U.K. and its fascination for sleuthing and murder mysteries.
Since Sherlock Holmes started the trend of serialised investigative fiction (in literature), it's rather logical to find the country is besotted with the same as tv shows and movies. Glad to know real life events are far and few. If they were much more numerous, I'd be extremely worried.
The UK is within spitting distance of having more murders portrayed annually on TV shows and movies set in the country than occur in real life
It's so incredible how low homicide rates are in Europe. The UK, with a population of 70 million people, had fewer than 600 murders in 2023.

Not enough task force staff per stolen bike ratio, I'd say. Not to brag, mine was never stolen, because it was a sort of French penny-farthing with wheels that were unknown, dimension-wise. 😂 I thank the French expat who sold me this Decathlon monstrosity! Bargain! ♥️
So. You've all heard about the little bit of a pickle we're in. 😅

I only get the 78% French, 20%Catalan and 2% Portuguese. Everything else is at 0%. It's somewhat anticlimactic. Here I was hoping to get some more diverse dna. 😅 The worst would have been the one line '100% French', where I would have been in a 'tell me something I don't know' kind of mood.
23andMe update is in! That's more like it. 🤣👍 The 18%+ Anglo-Irish component has completely disappeared. 😁 The French origin is back on at 78% (in lieu of the previous 16ish%). At least, with the 50% Portugo-Spanish gone down to 22ish%, I can stop fantasizing about some Iberic estranged father. 😅
Managed to place some Wendy Cope in one of my English lessons today. 😁
Tomorrow is another strike day in France. Expect disruptions with public transport.
Rapture was supposed to happen on Tuesday and it didn't happen? Aww. I recall the number of times Paco Rabanne said the world was ending at specific dates, same for the New Age doomsday ntters from Bugarach, it's about every week. Tuesday was probably a slow day.
Friends kept asking me if, in hindsight, I would have preferred staying/should have stayed in the U.K. I said that, had I stayed, Brexit would probably have forced me out anyway. 😢
'Fuck back to Azkaban!' was a great line. 👍
🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm pretty sure Gandalf never sported a six pack. 😂
