He’s an expert in healthcare the same way Bernie Madoff is an expert in trading stocks
Let’s have faith in our boys and have fun above all, even if it entails some suffering LOL

Don’t give a crap about transfer nonsense - these guys pull on a red shirt so we gotta get behind every one of them #YNWA
Lol I literally just added a similar comment to this thread before seeing the other replies
Of course one issue is that Ekitike wasn’t available against Palace and Jones has been having some injury problems as well
I’m probably being simplistic but I think if we had started games with Ekitike and more of Jones/Wirtz in MF rather than Macca, things might have gone differently for us

Hugo’s the difference maker IMO, mainly in the intensity, press and ball carrying he brings, but MF has been disjointed too
But the bigger issue is that it’s noticeably one sided - you generally don’t see Dems getting away with putting unqualified people in any position of authority in the federal government

Yet the media doesn’t really take an issue with this, coz they need access to Reps

Minit-thread: Bears repeating daily at this point: There were no immigration laws at all until white people on the West Coat began to fear the dreaded Yellow Peril of Chinese immigration in the 1880s. That's right. While these people were building railroads across mountain and plain...
It’s also really hard to admit to oneself to crimes committed in the past to get one to one’s relatively privileged position. Coz that would entail thinking about how to take responsibility and make things better - to use or even give up some of their privilege for the betterment of others
Yeah but tbh it’s been going on for a while? Reagan and Bush getting away with Iran Contra, Bush 43 with Iraq. I guess the press did spend far more energy going after Clinton and Obama for trying to give folks healthcare
Tbh - it was a “meh”. Would’ve been a solid attacking performance bailing out a shaky defence in the sense that the team shape hasn’t been great and press not good enough

It was relatively similar not just to the last few games we lost (Palace 1st half aside) but even those we won
Yeah that’s defo the bit about finishing 😂

Get your point though, defence has been poor, and that’s really something to do with the whole team, not just the CBs or FBs
Unfortunately they can still set the agenda, as shown by the ageist coverage of Biden that torpedoed his campaign. Hillary’s emails too

Obama was elected by a much bigger margin but the media was primed to accept criticism of him and to legitimize resistance against him because they see white conservatives as representative of America

It’s why they actively downplay any resistance against Trump today, of course

It was as genuine as the Brooks Brothers riot in 2000. Bunch of loudmouthed troublemakers.
Not to mention that losing 4 of our attackers in one summer would be quite insane

He still can play a role but have to use it effectively, perhaps not as a starter
I think that he still has a role to play but I don’t get why Slot insists on starting both him and Isak - you can carry one of them but not both IMO. Especially when we have the likes of Ekitike and Chiesa
Tbh we had enough chances to win it or at least equalise early, notwithstanding my preference that Slot start players with more intensity like Ekitike and Chiesa over Isak and Salah. Not sure Macca should be starting either

Gap between 6 and 8 is too wide, and we keep losing 2nd balls
Tbf we were doing quite well when Ekitike was starting, along with Wirtz 🤷‍♂️ Both offered work rate, and Ekitike generally finished well

Yes, obviously.
Compelling case from Chris Hayes that Dems’ problem is not messaging but eyeballs: Not what they say, but how many people see/hear it

Interesting. I think this is back to the FBs providing the width and two 6s to sit?

Tbh I can’t see the point of Kerkez cutting into the middle, to the extent of being in the box for corners. He usually doesn’t get passed to and doesn’t have quality to play as a MF. Bradley seems to do ok though
Brutal. The story of the last few games actually - inadequate finishing
Liverpool today:

19 shots. Five big chances. 2.76xG.

Liverpool when beating United 7-0:

18 shots. Six big chances. 2.78 xG.

We follow a stupid sport.
What were the big Manc chances besides the goals? Tbh I’m struggling to remember their chances except for the time Mama spilled a cross and ball ping ponged around the area
