Your annual reminder that the most revealing difference between Irish and Scottish Gaelic is definitely in the words for December: Mí na Nollag (Month of Christmas) in Ireland, and An Dubhlachd (the Blackness) in Scotland. So once again may I wish you all a lovely Blackness.

A little unintentional 🧵on why Hegseth will never be prosecuted in "The Hague" and why I fear it's counterproductive to suggest anyone is going to do so.
True as far as it goes but important to calibrate expectations & keep folks focused on their own responsibility (to punish the President's party politically for any domestic law pardon), Hegseth will never be prosecuted at The Hague/Int'l Criminal Court for the clearly illegal double-tap strike. /1
Not sure who needs to hear this but a US President can not pardon someone being charged for war crimes at The Hague.
