'NIGHT TRAP' first released 33 years ago today, on October 15th 1992.

Any retro gaming fan knows about the controversy that followed this game's release, but most of us just know it now is a ridiculously charming piece of FMV gaming history.

It's pure late 80s and it's a must-play!

And even gaming in Linux has come leaps and bounds in the past few years thanks to Proton. Just about every .exe I throw at it works *perfectly.*

Only exceptions are kernel-level anti-cheat dependencies and... I'm sorry, do we really want to be allowing games to do that?

If you open a command prompt in Windows 11, it shows that it's still using the same Windows NT 10.x kernel as its predecessor, so maybe that's what they meant?

The only thing "major" about 11 is its forced AI and user privacy encroachment. Oh and they moved the start menu to the middle. 🤯

Crazy how these two words lined up, eh? Anyway, this was fun to just draw a spooky, sparse landscape with foreboding vibes abound. It was also fun only using shades of magenta.

If you've got OneDrive (and for a lot of people it came with their computers), you can get extended security updates for the next year.
You should spend this year questioning if you really want to continue with Microsoft's anti-consumer practices or move to Linux instead.

I was excited to be nearing 10 average viewers.
Then immediately when they instituted them the "anti-viewbot" (let's call them anti-lurker) changes, I went down to less than 5. And I got downvoted to hell on Reddit when I openly thought "Hey, something's wrong here."
Glad people are coming around...
