congrats to emilia perez for securing the coveted green book slot
When talking about the format, it's referred to as 70mm.

You can blow up 35mm onto 70mm (which was common as well) but you don't call it 70mm. Like why it's called VistaVision and not 70mm. This is such a weird thing to nit pick
No it's because tech bros want maximum profits with little risk.
Commonly referred to as 70mm. Was this supposed to be a gotcha?
And it kinda is inferior, which is why it was very quickly replaced with 70mm.
An insignificant fraction of the movie takes place in Hungary. It mainly takes place in Pennsylvania. There's a detour to Italy in one section. And Hollywood is dead because tech bros have their foot on our throats extracting every penny from every IP until it's bone dry.

Deleted TikTok. It’s “back” like the cat in PET SEMATARY was back.
The many independent bookstores that became thriving businesses because of Booktok. I pray Booktok converges to this platform or another that isn't X or Meta
Leah Dunham has also weaseled her way back into things after admitting she sexually assaulted her sister in her book
People just don't use their eyeballs or brains and just go with what's in front of them at the moment. Something the right wing has been building towards for decades.
Republicans tried to do the ban by itself and it didn't get past committee. So they rammed it into a must pass bill so they can engage in this political theater. If Biden didn't sign the bill, he'd get heat for not supplying Ukraine and Israel $. It's always been Trump and the Republicans
They kept the budget in check by filming the movie in Budapest which has a much, much cheaper standard of living than the US and UK. So they were able to pay Hungarians a fraction of what they'd pay Americans. But hey, he got to shoot on a dead format
This was the best TikTok shutdown joke. The last good laugh I had on the app

Yeah we're fucking cooked
I guess that means this app is becoming popular if people are using bot accounts lol
It's the brain rot version. And what's worse is that they think we're this stupid
Like Mitch McConnell using Viagra
My only complaint is that there's not more of this.
They kinda are - both governments engage in propaganda in major media. The difference is the US tells itself we don't do that.
It's a smart move on behalf of production budget wise, but there's people in this industry killing themselves because they can't find work. Shooting over seas and using AI to cut corners getting major awards recognition is a dangerous precedent
What's even worse is the team could have probably found archived sketches from Architectural institutes for either a small fee or for free if they asked nicely. Corbet also shot this movie mostly in Budapest because they get paid so little there
Yes but they're on their way to not being paid at all. This film specifically shot in Europe to avoid paying people because he really wanted to make a 3 1/2 hour movie on a dead format.
