Welp.
Today is one of the events I was trying to prep myself to miss and in an *absolutely shocking* turn of events my disabilities have, in fact, disabled me.

Went with this one, going to gather this fabric into a #yoyo ball, pop the trailing ends of the #yarn threads into my new #cordbraiding loom, #braid for a while, #brush out the yarn ends, and then… I’m thinking eyes and a body but we shall see.

In my defense it was VERY sudden 🤣
I’ll try to capture it for you:
An uncouth seal surprised.
A kazoo band, taken aback atop a flight of stairs.
A herd of elephants trying to trumpet “can’t stop me now” but half of them are too young and trumpet “can’t stop the beat” instead so the rest lose it.

Lovely! They have the opposite spiritual energy of Van Gogh’s sunflowers with the soft, dreamy subtlety instead of the crawling lines and harsher colors, but still evocative of them. I love it!

Typically the “why” involves spoilers but I’m no monster, I’ll just say that the dramatic tension is 🔥, and the value of finding moments of actual true terror buried in an hour of “wait, what’s the plot of this again?” Is MORE THAN GOLD to this goblin 😁.

🤣 ok fine! Barring the oddly specific, it’s always the sneak-scares buried in the ridiculousness that will knock me off my chair and make me force my friends to watch things like GhostWatcher (2002) and The Messengers (2007 with John Corbett). Or worse, but those are the quintessential examples 1/2
