I don't like tooting my own horn, but I am a great ape. I have written two books. The first was a novel. The second analyzed litigation challenging the 2020 election. Both were written using a pseudonym because of pervasive bias against gorillas.
Imagine you own a home with multiple roof leaks in every room. You go up on the roof and you repair one of the many holes. Then you climb down and your wife tells you what a wonderful job you’ve done. The media's reaction to Trump firing Gregory Bovino is a lot like that.

Police Ask For Public’s Help In Falsifying Report

Twice in rapid succession top administration officials have responded to tragedy with lies about the victims. Media and political attention should pivot to the fact that these liars somehow still govern agencies requiring public trust.

I would like nothing more than to see this administration's foes attack its spokespeople for their anti-2nd Amendment rhetoric.

This represents the administration's betrayal of their 2nd Amendment alliances. It's a MAGA fissure to be exploited and expanded.

I know, most on BlueSky recoil at anything said by the NRA. But, that organization objects to the administration's approach to Alex Pretti. Dems should not fear using MAGA's 2nd Amendment ferver against the Trump administration.

We should exploit this fracture.

Recall Kyle Rittenhouse? The 17 year-old who brought a rifle to a night-time riot? The Right's hero.

But Alex Pretti deserved death because cops, while beating him, found a gun on his person.

The NRA is sure there will be a "robust and comprehensive investigation."

You know. Like for Rene Good.

It's good that Trump gave up on Greenland, but consider the harm caused by his venture. Harm to alliances, sure, but do not overlook our relationship with adversaries. Trump no longer is the crazy guy who might do anything. He is the loudmouth who will back down when faced with a real fight.
January 22, 2026 at 8:19 AM
Talking heads worry that an invasion of Greenland will result in the dissolution of NATO. Anyone paying attention can see that at least for so long as Trump is president, NATO already is a nullity.

Nobody will be expecting Trump to honor an agreement.
January 20, 2026 at 12:20 PM
I do not post this for the benefit of folks who already think Trump is terrible, and troubled. I want his allies to explain why this message from the President of the United States is not completely bonkers.

Please. Anyone?

"Of course we are going to remain a part of NATO, but what Pres. Trump does not want is for a war to start and the US gets dragged in." (8'13")

Apparently these people do not understand the nature of a mutual defense treaty.

The statement deserves more attention.

Kristen Welker continues her policy, which is to get glib answers to twenty questions, rather than a real answer to at least one. Here, the obvious question was "What defensive measures can be taken only if the US owns Greenland?"

She refuses to cross-examine.

Any treaty involving Greenland will require Senate approval.

Military action against Denmark must be authorized by Congress since there is no rational basis for an argument that some emergency warrants unilateral presidential action.

This is why Trump wants action NOW, before November.

Trump complained that the DOJ was weaponized. The only evidence was Trump's impotent claim to have been innocent. MAGA bought it. Now the DOJ truly is weaponized, as evidenced, e.g., by grand juries refusing to indict, and MAGA doesn't care. Not even a little bit.

You stand immediately in front of a car. The car starts moving forward. You have 2 options: (1) Step out of the way or (2) Shoot the driver.

The 2nd option does not stop forward momentum. The 1st makes the momentum irrelevant.

If you choose 2, or BOTH 1 & 2, it's not self defense.

A woman shot while trying to lead a mob through a barricaded door in the Capitol, toward police, is a victim. The Trump DOJ pays $4.975 million to settle a wrongful death lawsuit.

A woman trying to drive AWAY from police is a domestic terrorist who deserves death.

We live in a strange world.

When Trump says that we will be running Venezuela, what he means is that he will use the threat of force to compel that country's dictators to sign contracts favorable to Big Oil.

It is the Luca Brasi version of the Monroe Doctrine.

Congrats to Pete Hegseth, who has found a way to keep the public debating the legality of this administration's orders, while simultaneously handing its most vocal critic a certain win.

Of course the real credit goes to Trump, who probably goaded Hegseth into this lunacy.

As Trump people talk about taking Venezuela's oil wealth from the oligarchs and making it work for the people of that country and the US, consider the impossibility of the US structuring a fair deal.

Will Trump negotiate the best deal for the US, or for Venezuela? Their interests collide.

In a glaring example of conflating power and authority, Rubio says that a court order authorizing the seizure of oil ships is the "legal authority" needed for the U.S. to run the country.

Read Jack Smith's testimony. In a matter where the issue is whether Trump was charged for reasons other than his actual guilt or innocence, Jim Jordan asks absolutely NO questions about the sufficiency of the evidence to sustain a conviction beyond a reasonable doubt.

He knows Trump is guilty.
